The Exact Checklist for Pregnancy I Give My Clients

You know what's frustrating? Calling your doctor because you've been trying to get pregnant and hearing, "Give it six months to a year, then come back and we'll talk."

Meanwhile, you're sitting there thinking, "I'd actually like some help NOW."

If that sounds familiar, you're in the right place. This is the exact checklist for pregnancy I walk through with my clients inside the Hormone Reset Program®.

Instead of waiting around hoping something magically changes, let's talk about what your body actually needs to support a healthy pregnancy and what you can start doing today.

My Client-Proven Checklist for Pregnancy

Start With Your Cycle

Before we get into the details, let's look at the basics. Your menstrual cycle tells you so much about what's happening with your fertility, so these are the first things I want you to pay attention to.

Are You Having Regular Menstrual Cycles?

This seems obvious, but it's worth asking. A regular cycle means your body is doing what it needs to do month after month. If your cycles are all over the place (or nonexistent) that's the first thing we need to address.

Are You Actually Ovulating?

You can't get pregnant without ovulation. Period. So if you're not already tracking ovulation, start now. You need to know if and when it's happening so you can time things right.

Is Your Luteal Phase Long Enough?

Your luteal phase is the time from ovulation to your period. You want at least 12 days here because that tells you your progesterone is getting high enough to support a pregnancy. If your luteal phase is shorter than that, it's a sign your progesterone might need some support.

What Your Period is Telling You

Your period is giving you information every single month about your hormone health. Here's what to look for:

Color and Consistency

Your period should be a nice cherry red or wine red color, not brown, not super dark, not watery pink. And while a few small clots are normal, you shouldn't be passing tons of them. If you are, that's your body waving a red flag.

Length and Flow

You want 3 to 7 days of bleeding. Not spotting for 10 days, not a one-day bleed that's barely there. A healthy period has a clear start and finish.

How You Feel During Your Cycle

This is huge. You should be having pretty painless periods without intense PMS. That means:

  • No debilitating cramps that knock you out for days

  • Not dealing with major bloating

  • Not having mood swings that make you feel out of control

  • Not dragging through your day completely exhausted

If any of those sound like your reality every month, your hormones are trying to tell you something.

Cycle Consistency

Your cycle should be consistent for you. That doesn't mean it has to be exactly 28 days, but your period should come every 26 to 36 days in a pattern you can recognize. Your body thrives on rhythm, and so does your fertility.

Minerals Matter More Than You Think

Here's something most women don't realize: your body needs specific nutrients to make hormones and support a healthy pregnancy.

Are you eating mineral-rich, nutrient-dense foods regularly? Things like dark leafy greens, quality proteins, healthy fats, nuts, seeds, and colorful vegetables are all amazing to support healthy cycles and improve fertility. Your body needs these building blocks, and if you've been undereating or restricting, that's going to show up in your fertility.

Remove the Stuff That's Messing With Your Hormones

This one's a little harder to hear, but it matters. Endocrine disruptors are chemicals that interfere with your hormone production, and they're hiding in more places than you'd think.

Have you taken a look at what you're exposing yourself to every day? Things like:

  • Artificial fragrances in candles, air fresheners, and cleaning products

  • Plastic containers and water bottles

  • Personal care products with mystery ingredient lists

These might seem small, but they add up. Your body is trying to balance hormones and prepare for pregnancy; it doesn't need extra chemicals throwing things off.

Focus on What You Can Actually Control Right Now

When you're trying to conceive, it can feel like nothing is in your control. You can't force your body to get pregnant, and I know that's frustrating.

But here's what you can control: how you support your cycle right now.

  • You can start tracking ovulation.

  • You can clean up your diet and focus on nutrient-dense foods.

  • You can swap out those scented candles for safer options.

  • You can pay attention to what your period is telling you and address the root causes instead of just hoping things work out.

Everything on this checklist for pregnancy is an actionable step. They put you back in the driver's seat when it comes to your fertility journey.

Remember: It Takes Two to Tango

One more thing—you and your partner need to work on this together. Obviously he doesn't need to track his cycle, but sperm health matters just as much as egg health! What he's eating, how stressed he is, what he's exposing himself to, all of that affects fertility too.

This isn't just on you.

The One Mistake Most Women Make When Trying to Conceive

Most women dealing with fertility struggles are making one big mistake that's keeping them stuck. And honestly, it's not your fault because no one's talking about this.

You've probably tried all the "right" things. The supplements. The diet changes. Maybe even expensive treatments like acupuncture or working with specialists.

I had a client join the Hormone Reset Program® after trying everything…

She'd been doing acupuncture, worked with a nutritionist, tried every fertility supplement out there—fertility teas, all the supplements they say you should take to support fertility. She literally came to us on 20+ supplements, doing Chinese medicine, all sorts of things.

And she was never able to get pregnant after years of trying.

Of course, she had other things going on too, like low energy and inflammation. So when she came to us, we swapped out her supplements to actually match what her labs showed she needed. We addressed some lifestyle factors causing inflammation. We even adjusted nutrition for her husband.

She got pregnant 4 months into the Hormone Reset Program®!!

After literally years, not months, but years, of trying all sorts of things with other practitioners.

The difference was that we stopped guessing and started testing. We stopped doing what "should" work and started doing what her body actually needed based on real data.

Start Now, Not Six Months From Now

What you're doing today affects your cycle three months from now. That's how long it takes for an egg to complete the follicle journey and for your body to respond to the changes you're making.

So don't wait. Don't put this off until you've been trying for a year and your doctor finally agrees to run some tests. Use this checklist for pregnancy to start supporting your body right now, stay consistent, and give yourself the best chance of conceiving possible.

Your body is capable of so much more than you've been told. You just need the right support to get there.

Stop Guessing and Get Real Answers About Your Fertility

You don't need to keep guessing which supplement or lifestyle change might magically help you get pregnant this time.

Whether it’s a short luteal phase, irregular cycles, mineral imbalance or another hormone issue, this is exactly what we address inside The Hormone Reset Program®.

As a Functional Diagnostic Nutritional® Practitioner, I’ve worked with hundreds of women who were tired of their doctor ignoring their fertility concerns and frustrated by how much time and money they spent on practitioners and yet they were still not pregnant.

Inside the program, we start with comprehensive lab testing so we can see the full picture of your hormones, mineral status, and what's really standing between you and a healthy pregnancy. We're not just throwing random protocols at your symptoms.

  • If your progesterone is too low to support a luteal phase long enough for implantation? We'll see it.

  • If mineral deficiencies are affecting ovulation? It'll show up.

  • If stress is stealing resources from your reproductive system? We'll give you the tools to support your body properly.

The women inside this program aren't just hoping their fertility will improve. They're ovulating consistently, having healthy luteal phases, seeing their periods become pain-free, and finally getting pregnant!
